This is Curtis Pitts' twelfth design and is appropriately named the Pitts Model 12. The first Model 12 flew in 1996. It is a two place aerobatic airplane powered by a 360 hp Russian M14P radial engine. Roll rate is 300 degrees per second and climb rate is 3500 fpm. Jim Kimball Enterprises bought the design rights to the Model 12 and offers plans, kits, parts, and tech support. As of August 2002, 15 have been completed, 75 are under construction, and 198 sets of plans have been sold.
