It is now Sunday afternoon and the Homebuilt Camping section is quite bare.  I believe this plane is a recent arrival.  In fact, I'm sure of it. It's is so close to the road that I surely would have seen it if it was here earlier.  Who could miss all that red sitting up so high?  This is a Cessna C-165 Airmaster manufactured in 1939.  The engine is a 165 HP Warner SS165 radial.  The C-165 was the last and most powerful of the Airmaster series.  Here is a brief history of the Airmaster series.
