My plan was to fly from Atlanta to Oshkosh on Wednesday, the second day of the show. Unfortunately, the weather forecast called for persistent poor weather along a stationary front north of Atlanta. Additionally, the Oshkosh area forecast for Wednesday didn't look very good either. This forced an alternate plan: I would fly to Cincinnati on Monday and spend the night with family. Then I would fly to Oshkosh late Tuesday afternoon.
No significant weather was forecast between Cincinnati and Oshkosh for Tuesday. That forecast proved correct as this Tuesday afternoon visible satellite image reveals. Flying from Atlanta to Cincinnati on Monday, however, I did have to deviate around some thunderstorms.
