This is where the parkers shoehorned me in, row 111 in homebuilt/showplane camping. I would rather not be so close to the road but the alternative was worse as it would have put me a half mile further south. As it is, this spot is a just bit south of where I was last year in row 100. On the plus side, I'm closer to the showers this year. On the down side, I'm right on the approach path to the ultralight runway, I'm right next to the road, and it's a longer trek north to almost everything in the show.
So why is parking so limited? The answer is easy, there are many more airplanes here than in recent years, perhaps more than ever. After I visit the shower facilities to shave, I'll check out the immediate surroundings including that Ag plane on floats.
