Here is another airplane whose foam/fiberglass composite construction appearance might fool you. This is the marvelous Falco F.8L, a wood design that will reach the half century mark in two years. The airplane enjoys an excellent, almost revered, reputation among many aviation enthusiasts. It was designed by Stelio Frati of Italy. Only 100 or so were manufactured with production ending in the late 60's. In 1977, Alfred Scott bought the rights to the Falco F.8L from Stelio Frati. Today, plans, kits, and builder support are available from from Alfred Scott's company, Sequoia Aircraft Corporation, of Richmond, Virginia, USA.
